Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make operation flexible and its use easier in a menu system for a radio communication device.
SOLUTION: The proposed menu system for a radio communication device is provided with a memory 232 for storing menu items. A controller 220 is linked to the memory. To the controller is linked a user control input keyset 106 for manually inputting control signals in the controller. An indication device 108 is also linked to the controller and indicates signals from the controller. The memory is provided with a short and extended menu, and the controller adds items to the short menu from the extended menu or deletes items from the short menu in response to the specified operation pattern of the user control input.
