PURPOSE: To obtain a casting product of high quality by supplying a molten metal into a casting sleeve outside a machine, extruding an oxide film of the molten film above the upper face of the sleeve by a plunger, and eliminating the oxide film on the upper face in the course of horizontal movement to a casting position.

CONSTITUTION: In the outside of a machine, a molten metal is supplied into a casting sleeve 19 from a ladle 25. By a casting plunger 18, the molten metal is allowed to ascend, and only an oxide film generated on the upper face of the molten metal is extruded above the upper face position of the casting sleeve 19. Subsequently, by operating a cylinder 23, the casting sleeve 19 and the casting plunger 18 are moved horizontally to a casting position. In this case, the upper face of the casting sleeve 19 is allowed to pass through in such a state that it almost comes into contact with the lower face of an oxide film cut member 26 provided in a fitting plate 3, and the oxide film is scooped. In the casting position, the casting sleeve 19 ascends together with the casting plunger 18, and is connected to a fixed sleeve 7 of the lower metallic mold 6. Subsequently, the plunger 18 ascends, and a cavity 12 is filled with the molten metal from which the oxide film is eliminated.
