Abstract:

To provide a method and a device of an exhaust emission control for operating an engine including an exhaust emission control device which has a catalyst downstream of a turbine of a boosting device and a reductant injector upstream of the turbine.

The exhaust emission control device includes the catalyst downstream of the turbine of the boosting device and the reductant injector upstream of the turbine, is provided. Reductant is injected into exhaust upstream of the turbine, the injected reductant is mixed with exhaust gas via the turbine, and the mixed reductant is delivered to the catalyst.
