PURPOSE: To fast display a figure of high picture quality even on a display screen having low resolution.
CONSTITUTION: Gradation data on respective pixels connecting a start and an end point are previously calculated at every the inclinations of straight lines and stored in a gradation data storage part 13 and when data on the start and end points are indicated, the addresses of corresponding gradation data are calculated by a storage address calculation part 12 from those indicated data to read the gradation data out of the addresses, so that the data are displayed on a display device 16. When start-point and end-point data are indicated, the gradation data are read out of the storage device without the calculation of the gradation data, so an anti-aliasing display can be made fast and a figure display of high picture quality can be made fast even on a display device with low resolution.
