To provide a filling method by which a suitable quantity of a liquid can fill a container without a measurement equipment or a pressure control equipment such as a level system or the like and a metering equipment to meter the liquid before filling the container with it is not needed and a fixed quantity of the liquid can fill the container with simple facilities and control and provide a device for the method.
A relation between instantaneous flow rate of the liquid flowing in a liquid feeding piping 2 and gap correction value which is liquid quantity filling the container 5 from closing instruction of a filling valve V2 until closing, is established beforehand and an instantaneous flow rate of the liquid flowing in the liquid feeding piping 2 on a full opening of the filling valve V2 is measured and the gap correction value is calculated by the relation between an instantaneous flow rate and a gap correction value established beforehand and when an integration value of filling liquid in the container 5 satisfies a relational expression, target value-gap correction value=integration value, closing instruction of the filling valve V2 is issued and liquid quantity filling the container is measured after completion of filling and an actual gap correction value is calculated and the relation between the instantaneous flow rate and the gap correction value established beforehand, is automatically rewritten based on the actual gap correction value.
