PURPOSE: To press the member to be formed to the forming die with hydraulic pressure or elastic pressure to form it to a complicated shape by transmitting the gaseous pressure due to explosiion to the pressure medium of a liquid or an elastic body and transforming it into the hydraulic pressure or the ealstic pressure.
CONSTITUTION: A combustion room 1 is designed so that the cross-section area becomes gradually smaller from one end part 1A following the progress of flame, a converging part having the min. cross-section area is formed at the other end part 1B, and the upper surface of the pressure medium in a pressure room 12 is faced to the opening of the other end part 1B. The pressure of the flame inside the combustion room 1 is increased with the progress of the flame because the cross-section area of the combustion room becomes smaller, and becomes the remarkably high pressure at the other end part 1B. This high pressure is transformed into the hydraulic pressure or the elastic pressure of the pressure medium inside the pressure room 12. A forming room 13 is provided communicating with the pressure room 12, and a forming die 16 supporting the member to be formed P is contained in the forming room 13.
