Abstract:
To provide a method and device for generating chilled water wherein a chilled water of low temperature around 0°C is provided stably at low cost.
A heat transfer pipe 2a is so provided as to be submerged in the water which is to be cooled within a water tank 1, and a refrigerant is made to flow the heat transfer pipe 2a for forming a frozen-up layer at its surface, while an air is blown to a bottom part in the water tank 1 for the water to be cooled is cooled down while circulated and agitated. Thus, the contact frequency between the water to be cooled and the frozen-up layer is improved for improved cooling efficiency, so, the chilled water as low as around 0°C is provided stably at low cost.
