Abstract:

To shorten the grinding time, and to facilitate the setting adjustment and controlling.

This grinding device is provided with a grinding belt 2 wider than the elastic body fitting width of an elastic roller 5 and provided with a grinding surface 2a in the peripheral surface thereof, and a support flat plate 3 for pushingly supporting the grinding belt 2 from a back surface side. The grinding belt 2 is fed in a forward projected state by the support flat plate 3 for pushing the grinding belt 2, and the elastic roller 5 is rotated. A peripheral surface of the elastic roller 5 is made to abut on a part of the grinding belt 2 projected by the support flat plate 3. The whole width of the elastic roller 5 is thereby ground at one time. Flapping and the vibration of the grinding belt 2 are prevented by the support flat plate 3 pushing the grinding belt 2, and this stabilized attitude is maintained. The only grinding belt 2 is exchanged in the grinding part. Strict control of the relative height of the support flat plate 3 and the elastic roller 5 is unnecessary.
