PURPOSE: To simply and certainly carry out the transportation of film by feeding the film to a packing position using a pair of drums.

CONSTITUTION: When a transport drum 2 is rotated and a film (f) is put alongside of the transport drum 2, the film (f) is wrapped round it in the condition attracted to suction holes 25 provided at the periphery of the transport drum 2. When an intruding groove 26 in this transport drum comes to the position confronting a film length adjusting mechanism 5, the rotation of the transport drum stops temporarily. Now the film is intruded into the intruding groove by the film length adjusting mechanism in an amount corresponding to the length. Then the transport drum resumes rotating, and the film is cut by a cutting mechanism 4 at the position which yields the desired length. Then the transport drum further rotates to send the film to a handover position for a packing drum 60, and in the position, the film retained at the periphery of the transport drum is attracted by suction holes 62 furnished at the periphery of the packing drum 60 and is sent to the packing position.
