Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively restrain fusion bonding of slag grains mutually at the time of manufacturing, storing, and transporting.
SOLUTION: The device for manufacturing air granulated blast furnace slag is constituted of a rotary drum 3 to be collided with flowing down molten slag 1, a nozzle 4 provided at the point or near the point of collision of molten slag 1 against the rotary drum 3, blowing mixture of gas and stainless slag powder, a granulated slag receiving plane 5 deposited with stainless slag powder, placed at the point where the granulated slag is dropping which is blown by the nozzle 4 with the mixture gas, divided into a minute liquid drops, and dispersed and flown, and rounded into spherical shape by self surface tension, and a separating device which separates the air granulated slag powder (product 10) and stainless slag powder 6. The effects of this device is that the slag grains are prevented from mutual fusion bonding at the time of manufacturing, storing, and transporting, and more perfect spherical air granulated grain can be obtained.
