Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the thickness fluctuation of a resin layer and, at the same time, to improve the productivity of a multilayered optical recording medium by forming a substrate unit layer by injecting molten resin between a transparent substrate and stamper in a prescribed width.
SOLUTION: A transparent substrate 100 carrying a first recording surface 1 and first reflecting film is mounted on the substrate mounting section 61 of a substrate carrying table 60 and a stamper 80 is fixed to the outer peripheral surface of a drum 70. While the table 60 is transferred by driving a transferring means 50 and motor 73, a molten resin is supplied from the nozzle 91 of a resin supplying means 90. The resin is supplied between the substrate 100 and stamper 80 in a prescribed width and thickness and the stamper 80 presses the resin against the substrate 100. At the same time, pits formed on the surface of the stamper 80 in a prescribed pattern are transferred to the resin layer. As the resin is cooled and cured, a resin layer 101 having a second recording surface is formed. Therefore, substrate unit layers can be manufactured continuously.
