Abstract:
PURPOSE: To efficiently manufacture a magneto-optical disk where a pregroove is formed directly on a recording medium layer and the recording medium layer possesses large perpendicular magnetic anisotropy.
CONSTITUTION: A mixture 4a dispersing magnetic material particles into resin is applied to a film base 1. Then, the pregroove is formed on the applied mixture 4a by pressing with a stamper 10 with a recessed shape while bending the film base 1 applied with the mixture 4a with the cylindrical surface of a pressurizing-contact roller 11. Then, the film base 1 is returned to a flat state by curing the mixture 4a, and the magnetic material particles dispersed into the mixture 4a are compressed in a direction along the film base 1.
