Abstract:
To efficiently manufacture a product which resembles ripened compost from organic waste and is free of malodor at a relatively low treatment temperature for a short time at a low cost.
The organic waste is fed into a heating vessel 1 and is dried under agitation and is further heat treated at 150 to 200°C and thereafter the compost-like material is obtained by cooling the mixture. The vessel 1 is not ventilated in the heating and drying process and the subsequent heating process. The organic waste is thereafter agitated and cooled under ventilation to vessel 1 .
