Abstract:
PURPOSE:To permit to prevent a rotary machine or the like from a serious trouble by a method wherein a total acid value is measured and recorded by utilizing the monitoring device at every predetermined times to detect the deterioration due to the oxidization of the bearing lubricating oil in an early stage. CONSTITUTION:The constant amount of testing agent is added from respective batchers 12, 11 into a measuring tank 14 and is mixed, thereafter, an absorbency in the measuring wave length of about 500mm. is measured by an absorbency photometer 16. The batcher 11 poures alcoholic KOH, whose amount is corresponding to the managing reference value of the total acid value, into the measuring tank 14 and the result of the measurement is recorded into a recorder 17, while the output voltage for recording is inputted into an alarm 18 to sound an alarm at a predetermined voltage and monitor the deterioration of the lubricating oil due to oxidization. Accordingly, the serious trouble of the rotary machine or the like may be prevented.
