Abstract:
PURPOSE: To accurately perform an automatic welding without forming welding defects.
CONSTITUTION: A pair of non-welding sensors 27a, 27b, which are arranged side by side in the direction, orthogonal to a welding joint, are moved along the welding joint 30 by the hand 25 of a robot 21, and the sectional forms of the welding joint 30 are measured. Among the sectional forms of the welding joint 30, on the line which is made with the deepest position connected along the welding joint, a welding torch 26 is moved by means of the hand 25. By this welding torch 26, the layer of beads 20 is formed in the welding joint 30, and thereby multilayer welding is performed.
