PURPOSE: To easily and quickly obtain the semi-quantitative of the hapten with a little-quantity of sample by performing the competitive antigen-antibody reaction of the hapten to be analyzed in the sample with the labeled material in order from the upstream of the chromatography material to the downstream thereof.
CONSTITUTION: This method for obtaining the semi-quantitative determination of the hapten utilizes the competitive connection of the hapten in the sample and the labeled material with a detecting antibody, which is fixed for existence in a detecting unit C. Plural detecting units C1-Cn made of detecting antibody, which is fixed for existence on the same chromatography material, are separately provided in order from the upstream part to the downstream part at plural different concentration. In these plural detecting units C1-Cn, competitive antigen-antibody reaction of the hapten in the sample with the labeled material is performed. Concentration (semi- quantitative determination value) of the hapten is decided on the basis of the number of the detecting units C1-Cn, in which coloring due to the label of the labeled material appears in response to the concentration of the hapten. Namely, concentration of the hapten and the number of detecting units C1-Cn to be detected by the label are inversely proportional to each other.
