To provide a device 250 for detecting the reversion of a thump air flow in an air thump 200 for a gas turbine engine 10.
The device 250 comprises a first pressure sensor 256 joined to a thump air vent 254 in flow communication therewith for detecting thump pressure in the thump air vent 254. The first pressure sensor 256 generates a first signal representing the detected pressure. A second pressure sensor 258 is arranged in the thump 200 for detecting thump pressure in the thump 200. The second pressure sensor 258 generates a second signal representing the detected pressure. An output device 260 is joined to the first and second pressure sensors 256, 258 for receiving and displaying pressure indicated values in accordance with the first and second signals.
