PURPOSE: To make it possible to finish a packaged article having box image of stabilized dimension by inserting an elastic free-form article into an inner cassette whose upper and under sides are opened, putting a cardboard on the end surface of said cassette, putting a film on the side thereof, bonding them, pushing said cassette upwardly into an outer cassette, and folding the lower end of the film to bond it.
CONSTITUTION: Products, such as paper diapers, are put in good order into a cassette 2 for transfer The products 1 are pushed upwardly by an air cylinder 42 to move them into a cassette 3 in the cassette 2. A cardboard 4' of packaging film 4 is engaged with the end surface 3 of the cassette 3 by lowering a folding tool 17 by the air cylinder. A flap of the film 4 is folded onto the board 4' along the cassette 3 and a part (a) is heat-sealed. The cassette 3 is moved to a point just below an outer cassette 5 and the products 1 are pushed upwardly and forced into the cassette 5 together with the packaging film. The film 4 on the right side is folded by a level 52 using a cylinder 54. A flap protruding in front and in rear is folded upward to heat-seal the board 4'.
