Title:
METHOD AND DEVICE FOR POST-PROCESSING SHEET
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3931770
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent formation of a bundle of sheets whose flatness is impaired with the forward edges of the sheets deformed when a number of sheets are aligned and bundled.
SOLUTION: A control means 100 stops abutting members 721, 722 in a first predetermined position until a predetermined number of sheets S are stacked on a paper tray 71, and aligns the sheets using a retractable belt 16. When an input part sensor PS1 detects that sheets S are fed onto the paper tray 71 by the predetermined number or more, the control means 100 moves the abutting members 721, 722 from a predetermined paper end abutting position to a second predetermined inward position along the cross direction of the sheets, and presses the upper surface of the sheets S using the retractable belt 16. After the sheets are aligned by causing the abutting members 721, 722 to abut the ends of the sheets, the sheets are bound by binding means 701, 702.
