Abstract:
PURPOSE: To process a large capacity of picture data at high speed so as to output it with a small capacity of memory.
CONSTITUTION: A difference between data obtained by reducing picture data received from a host and enlarging it again and original picture data is taken. Differential data is obtained and it is compressed. Reduced picture data and compressed differential data are respectively stored in a reduced window storage memory 12d of a RAM 12 and a compressed differential data storage memory 12f. At the time of outputting a picture, picture data reduced in a window unit and compressed differential data are read, and are extended and expanded. Picture data is restored and it is outputted to one area in a window memory 12b. Data on the different window is restored and outputted to another area in the window memory 12b while the data is outputted to LBP 100.
