Abstract:
PURPOSE: To reduce jamming applied to a current television receiver as much as possible at a television signal transmitting method called letter box system.
CONSTITUTION: When the signals of the letter box system are received at the current television receiver, additional information is multiplexed to the upper and lower black parts of a picture to be displayed. An offset P is added to a pedestal, and a setup A2 is added to the additional information. Even when the signals are received at the current television receiver, the additional information does not spoil the view. At an exclusive receiver, the additional information not to degrade an S/N can be reproduced.
