Abstract:

To efficiently fill raw material powder to a part right under a protruding pin in a cavity and to prevent generation of a defective green compact after compacting raw material powder.

A die 1 formed to a cavity 2, upper/lower punches 24, 29 to pressurize raw material powder in the cavity 2 and a male side pin/a female side pin extendable/retractable in the cavity 2 for forming a horizontal hole of a green compact are used, at the beginning, the male side pin, etc., is protruded in the cavity 2 and a lower punch 24 is inserted up to near the male side pin, successively, while the lower punch 24 is separated from the male side pin, raw material powder is filled in the cavity 2, the raw material powder in the cavity 2 is pressurized by the upper/lower punches 24, 29, then, the male side pin, etc., are retracted from the cavity 2, a green compact is taken out from the cavity 2.
