PURPOSE: To progress smoothly bending formation and to obtain easily a ring having a desired diameter by inclining a driven shaft roll by a prescribed angle with respect to a main shaft roll and subjecting the wall thickness from the root part to the end part in the collar part of an angle steel strip to skew rolling.
CONSTITUTION: A driven shaft roll 17 which is pressed to a main shaft roll 12 fixed by a main shaft 11 provided to a base plate 10 and is given an angle θ with respect to the plane of the roll 12 is provided to a driven shaft 16. The shaft 16 is fixed via a self-aligning bearing 20. The shaft 11 and the shaft 16 are meshed with each other by driving gears 21-1, 21-2, by which the roll 12 and the roll 17 are pressed to a pressing roll 19. An angle steel strip 1 is introduced between said rolls 12 and 17 and the wall thickness from the root part to the end part in the inside direction of the L shape is subjected to skew rolling while said thickness is decreased in accordance with the angle θ. The other side of the L shape is then pressed by the roll 19, by which the ring having a prescribed diameter is successively formed.
