Abstract:

To appropriately generate an image structure reproduction characteristic about an output device.

Test image data obtained by reading a test image outputted from an output device (step S01) by an input device is acquired (step S02), and a reproduction state of an image structure that has been subjected to test image outputting and reading is extracted on the test image data (step S03). An image structure reproduction characteristic of the output device is generated on the basis of the extracted reproduction state and an image structure reproduction characteristic of the input device (Step S04).
