Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a method and a device for removing a multi-channel echo, by which the coefficient value of an adaptive filter is converged to a correct value which is uniquely fixed by means of the impulse response of an echo pass, sound quality becomes excellent and the convergence time is shortened.
SOLUTION: A delay processing signal obtained by the delay processing of a nonlinear processing signal by a delay processing circuit 300, which is obtained by nonlinearly processing a receiving signal 2 in an amplitude processing circuit 607, and a signal obtained by time-multiplexing the nonlinear processing signal are used in place of the receiving signal 2. Therefore adaptive filters 122 and 124 are operated with the nonlinear processing signal as an input signal in a certain case, and with a delay processed signal as the input signal, which is obtained by nonlinearly processing the received signal 2 and delay-processing it, in another case. Thus, the adaptive filter coefficient is obtained through the use of conditional expressions of double in number compared with the case when only the received signal 2 is used as the input signal.
