Abstract:
PURPOSE: To execute seaming of a flange part of a container body at the circumferential edge of a metallic lid while the container body being stably held.
CONSTITUTION: A bottom part 14b of a container body 14 is supported by a bottom supporting table 21, and a pressing body 23 is inserted within a recessed part 13 formed inside of a circumferential edge part 12 of a metallic lid 11. A stepped part 16 provided immediately below a flange part 15 is supported by a stepped part supporting body 22, and in this condition, a seaming roll 24 is brought into contact with the circumferential edge part 12 of the metallic lid 11 to execute the seaming work.
