To store a printing plate without damaging it.
This method includes a step of detecting the printing plate coming out of a processor or a baking station, a step of activating a carrying mechanism of a stacker, a step of carrying the printing plate to the rear side of the stacker, and a step of stopping the carrying mechanism when the printing plate reaches the rear side of the stacker. It also includes a step of inclining the printing plate by rotating an inclination bar into a plate trolley, and a step for returning the inclination bar to an initial position above the stacker. The step for inclining the printing plate includes the substeps of releasing a forcing device from the stacker, and forcing the printing plate away from the inclination bar against a rest position in the trolley.
