The storage method using an automated storage and retrieval warehouse 18 for storing containers and pallets comprises storing the raw materials and the products in the mixing product plant in such a manner that storage objects carried in bulk are measured, received by a container 20 and stored therein, and delivered on occasion to the next process and the empty container after delivery is cleaned and stored on occasion for reuse or storage objects bagged and carried therein are received by a pallet and stored thereon, and delivered on occasion to the next process and the empty pallet after delivery is stored for reuse. The storage device is adapted for the method.
