PURPOSE: To provide a high switch success ratio in an arbitrary winding diameter ranging from a smaller winding to a full winding by reciprocating a bobbin holder so as to be reciprocated between the positions where a yarn holding groove formed in an empty bobbin holds the yarn.

CONSTITUTION: When a winding package 7 on a bobbin 5 becomes full, a bobbin holder 2 where an empty bobbin 4 is installed begins to rotate by a motor 12. Then, a turret table 1 is turned by driving a turret motor 17, the fully-wound package 7 is separated from a contact roller 6. When a yarn removing plate 23 is swayed clockwise, the filament yarn L is removed from a traverse guide 11 and regulated in the groove of a bunch guide 9. In addition, the turret table 1 is turned, a cam follower 24 mounted on the bobbin holder 2 is engaged with a cam groove 26 cut in the cam 25 immediately before the empty bobbin 4 is brought into contact with the filament yarn L, the bobbin holder 2 is reciprocated so as to be reciprocated between the positions where a yarn holding groove 8 of the empty bobbin 4 may hold the filament yarn L, and the filament yarn L is held by the holding groove 8.
