To automatically clamp a product and take it out by an unloader even if it is a small item.

A clamped work W is moved in the direction of X-axis and Y-axis which orthogonally cross each other on a substantially horizontal plane to the punching position K. Then, a product G is separated and punched in a state a joint 37 is left and connected to the work W. After the product G is clamped by a work holder 41, it is separated and then, the joint 37 is cut off by punching. The work W is retracted from the punching position K in the Y-axis direction. The unloader 55 is shifted in advance in the X-axis direction, a clamp unit 73 set to wait upward is lowered to hold the product G by clamping it by a subclamp 79 or sucking it. After the product G is unclamped from the work holder 41, the subclamp 79 is shifted in the X-axis direction so as to separate from the punch press 1 on the clamp unit 73 to clamp the product by the main clamp 75. The unloader 55 is retracted to send out the product G.
