When a plurality of patterns made by coating liquid having different pattern constituting colors is to be transferred to a base plate 60 through coating rollers 2R, 2G and 2B and a combined pattern having pattern combination portions that have a same pattern shape is to be formed on the base plate 60, at least one of a first coating liquid eliminating plate 4 and a second coating liquid eliminating plate 5 is made into a roll plate. The first coating liquid eliminating plate 4 successively presses the plurality of coating rollers 2R, 2G and 2B on which coating liquid of pattern constituting colors having the same pattern shape is coated. The second coating liquid eliminating plate 5 presses a coating roller 2BM to which coating liquid of pattern constituting colors of the pattern other than the above combination portions is coated. Patterns are formed on each coating roller by transfer elimination by the coating liquid elimination plates 4 and 5 with respect to the coating liquid of the coating rollers 2BM, 2R, 2G, and 2B.
