To enable a surgeon efficiently perform a transseptal facilitation or a perforation technique with an effective method.
The method for performing the technique at an oval fossa of a septum wall of the heart includes a step to identify the septum wall (105) of the heart, a step of identifying the oval fossa (107) of the septum wall, a step to attach a tug at one point of the oval fossa and a step to prepare a sheath (120) having a body(120a) equipped with a penetrative lumen (122a) and a distal open end part (126). The main body further includes a position sensor (128) at the distal end part and the position sensor generates a signal to indicate a location of the distal end part of the main body. The sheath is navigated by the position sensor to the position of the oval fossa to attach the tug. The oval fossa is perforated at the position of the attached tug with a perforation tool.
