To surely make an ID number shown by a bar code and a readable code recorded on a label, film information shown by the bar code and printed film information coincide with one another.

The image of the label 10 is picked up by a CCD camera 45 while being carried. Then, the previously printed type of a photographic film and the number of photographing feasible frames are extracted and collated with the type and the number of photographing feasible frames obtained from printing data corresponding to the bar code printed by a printer 32. The bar code 20 and the readable code 22 printed on the label 10 by the printer 32 are read by a bar code reader 50 and a CCD camera 53 and the code 20 and the cartridge ID number shown by the readable code 22 are collated. Then, the quality is confirmed. Besides, the film information shown by the code 20 and the film information extracted by picking up the image thereof are collated.
