Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To further enhance dewatering capability without reducing pressing efficiency when slurry is dewatered by filtration, pressing and vacuum heat drying.
SOLUTION: A method for dewatering the slurry includes a filtration process for filtering the slurry through a filter cloth to form a filter cake, a pressing process for pressing the filter cake through the filter cloth to form a pressed cake and a vacuum heat drying process for keeping a pressure negative while heating to dry the pressed cake through the filter cloth, wherein in the pressing process, after the pressing is carried out to a predetermined dewatered level at a pressure during dewatering, a pressure of the pressing is gradually reduced to a non-pressing pressure in which the compaction of the pressed cake does not substantially occur toward the completion of the pressing.
