To provide a method for diagnosing facilities which permits a correct state diagnosis in relation to facilities arranged to points where external shock pulses are generated.
There is provided the method for diagnosing facilities by which a state of a bearing 3 is diagnosed by detecting shock pulses generated from the bearing 3 which supports a rotating shaft 4. The shock pulses generated from the bearing 3 are detected by a shock pulse sensor 7 including external shock pulses. An external shock pulse component is separated from the detected shock pulse. A threshold is set with the separated external shock pulse taken into account. The shock pulse generated from the bearing 3 is compared with the threshold, whereby the state of the bearing 3 is judged.
