Abstract:
To provide a method for producing an acute respiratory disease classifier regarding a platform.SOLUTION: A method for producing an acute respiratory disease classifier includes the steps of: obtaining biological samples from a plurality of subjects who are known to have been affected with bacterial, viral or non-infectious acute respiratory tract infection (ARI); measuring gene expression levels of a plurality of genes in each of the biological samples on the platform; normalizing an obtained gene expression level to generate a normalized gene expression value; and producing a bacterial ARI classifier, a viral ARI classifier, and a non-infectious disease classifier regarding the platform on the basis of the normalized gene expression value, by which the acute respiratory disease classifier regarding the platform is produced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
