Title:
METHOD FOR DISCRIMINATING BROAD LEAF WEED IN PASTURE WITH SPECTRAL REFLECTANCE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3628425
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To discriminate a pasturage having a relatively small leaf width and a broad leaf weed having a leaf width larger than that by continuously measuring the spectral reflectance of a surface of the leaves in a pasture.
SOLUTION: An optimal measurement area A of a spectral reflectance measuring unit, which is based on the mean width of each leaf of a sorrel (Rumex) X (broad leaf weed) and orchard grass OG (pasturage) and the optimal moving speed of the measuring unit in relation to the measurement area A are previously set. In the case where plural material to be discriminated are included in the movement area A during the movement, synthetic spectral reflectance is computed, and the spectral reflectance of the material to be discriminated of the pasture at a specified wave length is continuously measured, and in the only case where the measured spectral reflectance is continuously included at the predetermined time within a range of the spectral reflectance of the preset broad leaf weed, the material to be discriminated in judged as the broad leaf weed.
