Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display method of reference information suitable for a document display device that can display reference information of terms or the like in a sentence being edited and displayed in a state in which the reference information has simple and appropriate contents searched and edited from a predetermined database.SOLUTION: The display method includes: a reference information acquiring step of accessing an internal database 17, an external database 3, and a Web server (search site) 6 using, as the search character string, one or more character strings included in document information displayed on a display unit included in a document display device 1, and acquiring searched reference information; a reference information editing step of displaying and editing the acquired reference information in a predetermined format; and a reference information display step of displaying the edited reference information in a predetermined area of the document being displayed.
