Abstract:

To provide a yarn-dividing method by which a deformed multifilament yarn having good quality is obtained without defects such as a tangle between monofilaments and yarn breakage in yarn dividing caused by false twist in unreeling by dividing the yarn so that change (R) of tension to yarn-dividing point after passing through yarn contact body is set to ≤0.30 cN/dtex in a yarn-dividing machine having at least one or more movable yarn contact bodies on this side of the yarn-dividing point when deformed multifilament yarn package for dividing yarn is divided.

This yarn-dividing method comprises dividing the yarn so that change (R) of tension to yarn-dividing point after passing through yarn contact body is set to ≤0.30 cN/dtex in the yarn-dividing machine having at least one or more movable yarn contact bodies on this side of the yarn-dividing point.
