Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To quantitatively and suitably execute division of a sheet having a curving surface by calculating strain generated at the time of bending a flat sheet to the planned curving surface with a finite element method, selecting the heating condition and limiting distributing range of the strain.
SOLUTION: The planned strain generated at the time of deforming the surface of the flat sheet to the shape having the planned curving surface, is calculated with the finite element method. This planned strain is generated to this flat sheet and the flat sheet is worked to the planned shape. The bending uses a linear heating method generating shrinkage strain by heating to the linear state. Then, the heating condition at the time of bending with the linear heating is firstly selected and the magnitude of the strain to be possible to generate, is decided. The size of the flat sheet to be bent is decided based on the magnitude of the distributing range of the generated strain in the selected heating condition in the range of the planned strain distribution. By this method, the max. size of the flat sheet which can bend in the selected heating condition, can be decided. The division of the sheet which is conventionally executed with the experience, can quantitatively be performed.
