PURPOSE: To enable efficient ending of double yarn and divide yarn end of double yarn by drawing end of double yarn from a wind-up package, holding the yarn end, pulling double yarn till one single yarn is cut and simultaneously separately catching single yarn cut by suction stream and single yarn which is not cut thereby.

CONSTITUTION: In a yarn end-dividing device 1, yarn end of double yarn Y is pulled-out from a wind-up package P and pulled up above and the pulled up double yarn Y is held in two positions of clamp 3 on the top of suction pipe 4 and lower clamp 5 and double yarn Y is pulled between the two positions till one in two piece of single yarn is cut and simultaneously suction stream is effected by fixed suction pipe 6 from the side and single yarn pulled out on the side by suction stream after being cut and single yarn stretching above without being cut are separately caught. Yarn end of double yarn Y is divided using the yarn end-dividing device 1.
