To provide a method for drawing an image on the printer and lithographic printing by which digital image data are dealt with and many pieces of printed matter showing an ultra-sharp image are printed at a low cost and rapidly as well as a lithographic printing device used in this method.
This method for drawing an image on the printer and lithographic printing is to send out a plate material incorporated in the plate cylinder of a printer onto the plate cylinder, then directly form the image on the plate material based on an image data signal after mounting the plate material and thus prepare a printing plate and use it under the described state to successively perform the lithographic printing. Further, when the printing is ended, the used plate material on the plate cylinder is taken up into the plate cylinder. In this method, the image is formed on the plate material by an ink jet process to discharge ink containing at least a lipophilic component.
