Abstract:
PURPOSE: To complete drying in a short period of time and reduce a space for a drying process by irradiating infrared rays, which have a peak of a wave length in the vicinity of a particular wave length, on an article containing moisture in an atmosphere having a particular temperature range.
CONSTITUTION: A hot wind is caused to blow into a drying furnace body 11 to maintain a temperature in a furnace at 100 to 200°C. Then an article 31 being dried is carried in the furnace so as to permit infrared rays having a peak in the vicinity of 1.2 to 1.4μm to be irradiated on the article. The article 31 being dried is dried in the furnace for thirty minutes to be taken out. Thereafter the article is baked at 1100 to 1200°C. Thus drying can be performed without causing defects such as crack in the article which contains therein moisture.
