Abstract:

To provide a method of operating a safety control system for a vehicle (10) by dynamically detecting the possibility of the vehicle's overturn to prevent occurrence of the overturn of the vehicle (10) equipped with a plurality of wheels (12a), (12b), (13a), (13b).

This method includes a process for determining pitching speed; a process for determining lateral acceleration; a process for determining rolling speed; a process for determining longitudinal acceleration; and a process for determining a calculated angle for the vehicle. In addition to the above processes, this method includes a process for generating a wheel lifting signal or wheel grounding signal as a function of the pitching speed, the lateral acceleration, the rolling speed, and the longitudinal acceleration; a process for adjusting the angle calculated corresponding to the wheel lifting or wheel grounding signal; and a process for controlling the safety system (44) corresponding to the calculated vehicle angle.
