Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an industrially excellent method for readily producing bis(trifluoroacetyl)peroxide by which the bis(trifluoroacetyl)peroxide can be produced in a short time in high yield.
SOLUTION: This method for readily producing the bis(trifluoroacetyl) peroxide is characterized in that trifluoroacetic anhydride is reacted with sodium peroxide dispersed in acetonitrile. Preferably, the initial molar ratio of the trifluoroacetic anhydride to the sodium peroxide is regulated within the range of 2.0-2.5 in the method.
