To provide a method wherein airtightness can be enhanced in a cave formed in the bedrock for storing compressed gas so that the cave can be used under the state of being unlined, and to provide a method for executing a simulated test for enhancing airtightness.
Airtightness is ensured for a cave formed in the bedrock for storing compressed gas with bentonite slurry mixed with fill-up materials for filling crevices and cracks at the inner wall surface filled into the crevices and the cracks and pressurized and mud cakes made up of bentonite slurry with the fill-up materials penetrated into the crevices and cracks at the bedrock made to serve as cores and with the crevices and the cracks in the bedrock closed with such mud cakes. Effectiveness can be improved further by giving liquid-tightness and airtightness on the inner wall surface of the bedrock or by repeating the liquid-tightness while specific gravity of the bentonite slurry is heightened gradually.
