Abstract:
PURPOSE: To obtain an amino acid oligomer, having a homogeneous polymerization degree and suitable for biocompatible materials, etc., in one pot by using a protease as a catalyst in producing the amino acid oligomer having a single molecular weight from an amino acid derivative.
CONSTITUTION: A protease (e.g. chymotrypsin) is reacted with one or more amino acid derivatives as a substrate in a buffer solution (preferably at pH2-10) and formed precipitated are then separated by filtration, washed and dried to afford an amino acid oligomer having a single molecular weight.
