Abstract:
PURPOSE: To improve a device by interpolating and forming the pixels A and B in a vertical direction between scanning lines from the respective pixel groups of a successive input frame and generating the respective first and second output fields by means of the pixel A of the second scanning line and by means of the pixel B delayed for the portion of a field duration time. CONSTITUTION: A format(Fm) 50 Hz and a one-to-one frame are generated by an input pixel INP at 20 ms distance and an interpolation pixel INT and an output pixel RES at doubled 10 ms distance is shown by Figure B. A 50 Hz images are successively obtained by the pixels P1 , P2i and P3 and the interpolation pixels P1 A and P2 B shown by Figure D correspond to Fm100 Hz and two-to-one. A 50 Hz jump input frame is converted into Fm50 Hz and one-to-one by a jump and successive converter PRO and the interpolation pixels is detected by the generation of a vertical average value or a line shuffler LSH. Then, a peaking circuit VPEA executes vertical peaking and, after that, a circuit SIL executes composite jumpling, so as to obtain the output signal of Fm100 Hz and two-to-one. Thus, the device is improved.
