To conduct inspection of a foreign matter mixed into a liquid agent before drying a freeze drying agent surely by processing an image picked up through a CCD camera thereby facilitating movement of the foreign matter through rotation of a glass container containing the liquid agent.

The equipment for inspecting a foreign matter mixed into a freeze drying agent comprises a glass container containing a liquid agent mixed with a foreign matter, a unit for irradiating the glass container with light from at least two directions, a reflector for reflecting the irradiating light, a CCD camera for picking up the image, and means for detecting movement of the foreign matter in the liquid agent by comparing a reference image, i.e. a reflection image picked up by means of the CCD camera before rotating the glass container, with a similar image picked up after single revolution.
