PURPOSE: To obtain a method for inspection enabling shortening of a time for inspection, execution of on-line inspection in a manufacturing process and rationalization of space, time and others for inspection.

CONSTITUTION: A method and equipment wherein an electrolyte solution 4 and positive and negative electrodes 5a and 5b in a state of contact with the solution are provided in a vessel 3 separated into two rooms by a partition wall of a molded foam (material to be inspected) 1 formed of foam particles of synthetic resin being fusion-bonded integrally and the existence or nonexistence of capillaries which are formed among the foam particles of the molded foam and through which the liquid can permeate is inspected by measuring electrical characteristics produced in the positive and negative electrodes 5a and 5b through the material 1 to be inspected.
